These are indeed Industrial Strength. They are made from heavy round cord that it saturated with their bees wax Leather Protector. It takes a few times to tie them to get that used to the point that your hands don't slip when pulling them tight but they stay tied and seem to be made to resist wear from hook eyelets. I like these laces.

The laces are amazing although the tips fail long before the laces do. I have tried a few hacks to remedy this, still a work in progress.

These waxed laces are some of the nicest cotton laces I have ever used but trust me when I say this. When they say WAXED they mean WAXED as in these things are so waxed it's almost difficult to use them the first dozen time because of the amount of wax that comes off of them but after that and you settle into a rhythm they are a joy! They stay tight all day and the wax helps to prevent bunching or pressure points from laces gripping each other.

They feel like they will last a long time. There's a little excess wax that comes out when I tightened that laces, but nothing that wiping with a paper towel couldn't handle.

Laces come with a lot of wax. A little messy at first but great long lasting laces.

Strings are coated with a wax substance so your fingers will get dirty. They appear to be good quality but I’ll have to save final judgement when I see how they handle really hot and dusty weather

These boot laces are really durable and are the best that I have found. They are a little gooey at first due to the wax, etc., but they are excellent.

Replacing leather laces that tend to break at the wrong time. These are far more dependable.

Just received a pair of boot laces. Other than the waxy coating that leave a tacky feel on my fingers, they are working great. I especially appreciate the laces staying tied throughout the entire day.

I work in the beverage delivery industry and am running a hand truck daily. Pulling a cart from under freight takes a toll on a boot, but mostly the laces. These laces last me at least three months. Compared to a lace issued by a boot company who I shall not name *redwing* Obenauf gives me the confidence to not worry about such a small matter as boot laces. Have no fear spending the money on this product or any other product offered by Obenauf. Well worth the investment.

These are simply the best laces for rugged use. I worked in a Kraft Pulp Mill for most of my career, this is an environment that is very hard on work boots and laces. These are the only laces that stood up to the harsh conditions of lime dust, acidic and caustic chemicals and all other abuse. Obenauf's has great customer service as well
